We are seeking a new colleague to join our Danish Product Design & Application team in Hørsholm. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with our R&D, Sales, and Commercial teams to develop innovative dietary supplements that incorporate freeze-dried probiotic strains, designed for both powder-based and oil-based solid dosage forms.

Welcome to the Product Design & Application Team…
The Product Design & Application team is a vital part of Human Health Biosolutions (HHB), and we specialize in creating science-based biosolutions for our customers, focusing on the formulation, implementation, and troubleshooting of solid dosage forms containing pre-, post-, and probiotics. We develop innovative products, both with and without additional nutrients, produce consumer samples, and scale up product manufacturing.

Our team consists of 14 members -12 academics and 2 technicians - ranging from newly graduated to highly experienced professionals, including pharmacists, food scientists, and biotechnology engineers. We are driven, self-motivated, and energetic, with a strong passion for teamwork, and a great sense of humor.

In this role you’ll make an impact by…
Contributing through your work to maintain our position as market leader in probiotics for the supplement and special nutrition industries, while also expanding our position in pre- and postbiotic solutions.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Developing new products and improving existing ones, primarily focusing on solid dosage forms with a wide range of complexity by assessing the application stability of our new or improved probiotic strains
• Planning, executing, and evaluating formulation development activities to meet the requirements of both our customers and internal stakeholders
• Ensuring that all raw materials, specifications, and documentation related to the production of each product meet the specific requirements and intended use for our customers
• Participating in cross-organizational projects and driving continuous improvement efforts
• Providing technical support to customers as needed

To succeed you must hold…

• A Master's degree in pharmacy, food science, or a related field
• Preferably a few years of experience in formulation development of dietary supplements or pharmaceutical oil, liquid or powder products or experience into product characterization and or stability
• A strong personal drive, self-motivation, energy, and passion for teamwork, accompanied by a great sense of humor
• A customer-focused mindset with excellent communication skills, who enjoys working in a dynamic, ambitious, and international environment
