We have an exciting opportunity for an Automation Engineer to join our cutting-edge QA Automation team in Kongens Lyngby or Struer, Denmark.

Key responsibilities

• Designing and developing new Labgrid based auto-test frameworks to provide test coverage on expansive projects, including high-end audio and visual based luxury products built upon modern embedded software platforms.
• Communicate continuously with the software development teams and explore test and automation needs and issues to create the right solutions.
• Collaborate with fellow developers to ensure that the developed software fits the needs and remains continuously relevant and efficient.
• Build robust test solutions, ensure high quality standards and make a significant impact on our next generation of products.

What you bring
We imagine that you are newly graduated or possess 1-2 years of experience. We seek someone with a keen interest in writing intelligent automation programs in collaboration with our embedded platform developers that can validate our products and ensure that they meet our benchmark quality standard.

You enjoy working with testing principles and dedicating yourself to product quality. As a person, you have a real desire to pick apart our processes, software, and products to explore and understand them and effectively ensure the right test systems.

Moreover, you have:

• Hands-on experience with software development focusing on writing clean, scalable, and well-documented code that aligns with Agile development and testing principles. Understanding of software architecture and design principles will be a plus.
• Practical knowledge in building automation infrastructure that includes Linux based hardware, networking equipment like routers and switches, power distribution units, audio sound cards, digital power/watt meters etc. The ability to make hardware integrations using native and third-party Python libraries will be a plus.
• Understanding of DevOps CI/CD setup, infrastructure as code in an enterprise grade software development environment.
• The ability to learn new technologies and modern practices and apply them in daily work.
• Understanding of common network protocols like TCP/IP, FTP, SMTP, DNS, DHCP, ARP etc and wireless communication protocols like Wifi, Bluetooth, BLE etc.
• Knowledge of test management, scoping, planning, and reporting. Familiarity with shift-left and continuous testing concepts will be a plus.
• Fluency in English is mandatory.

Technical skills:

• Python and shell scripting to write automation framework libraries and scripts.
• HTTP(S) RESTful APIs and clients with understanding of OpenAPI specifications.
• Git/GitHub or similar source control tools.
• Docker, or similar containerization technology.
• Github Actions, Workflows and Runners or similar integration tool for CI/CD.
• Ansible or similar configuration management and task automation tool.
• Hands-on experience with Linux environment.
• Visual Studio Code and familiarity with dev contianers.
• Jira or similar project management tool.
• Experience with Labgrid will be a plus.
• Experience using and setting up audio hardware in test setup will be a plus.
