Join us as our new Senior Laboratory Technician
We are looking for a senior laboratory technician (seniorlaborant) with a scientific mindset, who enjoys working in an entrepreneurial environment and takes a strong interest in developing new competences.

You will work with Human milk oligosaccharides (HMOs), which have a great potential for human health. We are eager to unlock their full potential, and that is why we are looking for a new passionate colleague to support us in generating scientific data, demonstrating the immunomodulatory effect of HMOs.

Welcome to Applied HMO
The Applied HMOs team is a passionate, new science team (established in 2021). We are 8 in the team, and we are technicians, scientists, students and a manager. Our scientific expertise covers the gut microbiome, gut physiology, omics and immunology. Our key role is to generate and communicate scientific data on the health effects mediated by HMOs.

In this role you’ll make an impact by:
Together with the scientists you will drive our in vitro immunology platform with the purpose of generating scientific data on the immunomodulatory effect of HMOs. Your primary role will be to ensure a strong platform by working with the following:

• Running existing mammalian in vitro assays
• Establishing novel experimental immunological workflows & assays
• Analyzing and concluding on data together with the scientist
• You will support your team fellows when needed, as we highly value team efforts

To succeed you must hold:
Overall, we are looking for a senior laboratory technician (seniorlaborant) with a scientific mindset, and who enjoys working in an entrepreneurial environment and takes a strong interest in developing new competences. Specifically, we are looking for a new colleague who can see themselves in the following:

• You are a laboratory technician by education (laborantuddannelsen)
• Have several years of laboratory technician experience after finishing the laboratory technician education
• You have hands-on skills in immune cell isolation and mammalian cell cultivation (both cell lines and primary cells)
• You have experience working with various in vitro immunology assays, e.g. dendritic cells, macrophages, B- and T cells or/and other immune cells.
• Hands-on experience with various analytical technologies (incl. flow cytometry, MSD/ELISA, qPCR)
• Thrive with dynamic tasks where every day is quite different, as this is not a rutine task role

Good English communication skills is an advantage, as we are in an international work environment and you will work closely with native English speakers - you don't need to be perfect, as long as you are comfortable with the English language.
