Arla Foods Ingredients Global S&OP is seeking an engaged Master Production Planning specialist with a strong analytical mindset and a desire to develop our current planning processes.

Arla Foods Ingredients (AFI) is an independent company within the Arla Foods Group with an ambition to become the true global leader of the value-added whey business.

The Global S&OP team is involved in the entire value chain from Demand Planning, Master Production Planning to Logistical Planning and Business Intelligence reporting. We facilitate a well driven monthly S&OP process balancing the future 15-month demand and supply outlook cross sites and markets. Recently we have implementing a Global S&OE process, which will bridge the monthly S&OP process to the operational planning processes.

How you will make an impact

You will play a key role as the main responsible for the Master Production Planning for our Global Lactose and Permeate material groups and for our Global whey raw material. In close cooperation with your colleagues you take lead on finding and facilitate solutions to optimise our value chain. You excel in finding a harmonious balance between independently resolving issues and effectively driving actions through others.

In particular, you will:

• Secure our Lactose and Permeate stock is balanced cross site and markets and take proactive actions if needed.
• Create monthly production plans for domestic and global production sites in close cooperation with local site planning and relevant stakeholders such as Sales and Product Management
• Monitor our Global whey supply outlook and initiate relevant actions.
• Identify imbalances between supply and demand, and coordinate solutions/scenarios to be escalated in the S&OP or to the S&OE process
• Prepare meeting material and facilitate meetings in the monthly S&OP process
• Secure decision from the S&OE process is anchored in the monthly production plans
• Follow up on relevant KPI’s and lead proactive dialogs across Arla and AFI functions
• Take lead on further developing planning concepts and systems (Excel, APO, PowerBI, BI tools) across AFI Global S&OP and the entire AFI organisation

You have a solution oriented and analytical approach

Ideally we are looking for a candidate, who has a mix of the following competencies:

• experience in the Master Production Planning processes and/or a degree in Economics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• strong data analysis skills and a preference for making fact-based decisions in collaboration with stakeholders.
• ability to work independently while recognizing the value of collaborating with colleagues
• advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint (thinkCell), and BI tools including SAP Hana/APO/IBP, with a solid understanding of different supply chain activities and processes.
• persistence and a passion for developing current ways of working.
• thrives working in an organisation that is constantly growing and likes to take ownership of their responsibilities
• excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
