About the job and responsibilities
The National Centre for Register-based Research wants to hire an Academic Officer for a project focused on psychiatric epidemiology. NCRR is part of Aarhus BSS at Aarhus University and is financed mainly by external research funds. The centre carries out register-based research, primarily within psychiatric epidemiology. Data sources are ongoingly expanded and include, e.g., health data in general, and psychiatric disorders in particular, prescriptions, socioeconomic covariates, and genetics.
The work is primarily of research supporting nature. The tasks include data-management, systematic quality assurance of data, designing studies, data analyses, and presentation of results in collaboration with researchers. Collaborators at NCRR include national and international researchers.

Your profile
Besides having a strong motivation to work with psychiatric epidemiology and data analyses, you will also have a master's degree in statistics, mathematics or similar, and speak and write English at a high level.
Perhaps you have previous experience with register data in connection with research projects, epidemiological analyses, Danish personal registers, including registers at Statistics Denmark and the Danish Health Data Authority and practical experience with R and/or STATA.
You maybe have experience from a similar job and have gained experience and insight into handling data and supporting researchers.

The starting date is October 1st 2024, or as soon as possible hereafter. The duration of the employment will be 3 years full-time.
Your place of work will be Fuglesangs Allé 26, 8210 Aarhus V, and the area of employment is the National Centre for Register-based Research, Aarhus BSS, Aarhus University.
