The position
As our new Automation Engineer for Warehouse & Intralogistics, you'll take the lead in our Fill & Finish production expansions. You will be part of the IT & Automation department and actively shape the future for automation in our new warehouses that we are designing and building across multiple sites globally. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving implementation of standardized solutions across our sites, propelling us into the digital age.

Being part of a group of engineers, you will share the responsibility for defining the standards for our new warehouses, advancing the use of new innovative and proven existing technologies. You will be working closely with key stakeholders both within Novo Nordisk and suppliers to enable implementation of IT, automation, and digital solutions.

It is expected that you’ll be participating in onsite workshops, build and deploy, and validation activities for the warehouse automation systems at our sites, with 1-4 weeks travel in a calendar year.

Qualifications

  • You understand automation and IT solutions within a warehousing and intralogistics environment.
  • You hold a master, bachelor, or technician degree within automation, industrial engineering and/or IT systems, or similar.
  • You have 1-2 years of experience in design, deployment & validation for warehouse automation systems, including e.g. ASRS, AGV/AMR, Conveyor systems.
  • You have experience in one or more of the following technologies: Warehouse Management System, Warehouse Control System (WCS), Fleet Managers for AGV/AMR, IOT, PLCs and Industry 4.0.
  • It is a plus to have experience in partnering with multiple vendors/suppliers that bring WCS, automation equipment and integrating their solution to corporate IT landscape.
  • It is a plus to have experience from working in the pharmaceutical industry and/or in a production environment.

As a person you work effectively with and with high integrity based on your technical skills. Your structural approach allows you to maintain a broad overview while maintaining an eye for the details. You communicate effectively, enabling you to explain benefits from standardization, build support for our solutions, and ensure adherence to technical quality standards.

You work independently, seek sparring from teammates when needed and have strong abilities to participate in project teams. You thrive in an environment where new challenges and focus can change quickly, but always with the overall common goal in mind.

About the department
IT & Automation is a department within DD&IT PS – Fill & Finish Expansions. We are a program organization built in a matrix structure to foster cross-organizational and cross-functional collaboration to shape our future.

Our goal is to design and build future-proof, global fill & finish production facilities, with a focus on establishing strong foundational IT and automation that will enable these facilities to digitally evolve.

As a member of our department, you will work closely with colleagues responsible for processes and engineering, as well as various technology partners both internally and externally.

Our offices for Fill & Finish Expansions are located in Kongens Lyngby.
