CFO in Plesner

We are looking for an experienced and strategically minded CFO to join Plesner's leadership team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in financial management, a deep understanding of stakeholder relations - preferably in a partner driven business - and an extended experience in orchestrating a growing business with several different areas of competencies.

As our new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), you will lead and set the directional agenda of a modernized financial unit that complements the business areas' daily demands and needs. It is a pivotal management role that works closely with all areas of the business in Plesner, while not only delivering on financial reporting but also supporting the business units with a sharp analytical approach.

Key Accountability Areas and Key Activities
Financial Strategy

• Lead the development and evaluation of financial strategic projects that supports our distinctive approach to enhancing the experiences of both clients and employees through consistent methods, approaches, and ways of service. This involves a unified way of servicing clients, developing employees, and collaborating within the firm.

Drive comprehensive financial planning and support collaborative initiatives across the different business units.

Internal Financial Reporting, Financial Planning and Analysis

• Analyze financial trends, support market analytics and be a key player in vital cross functional projects that demands leadership and financial insights.
• Identify opportunities for growth, optimization, and system enhancements.
• Secure financial resources to facilitate Plesner driven project expansion and operational sustainability.
• Collaborate closely with IT, HR, Project and Innovation and business units seeking towards removing complexity and expanding insights into relevant data that supports the business.
• Drive forecasting and reporting throughout the various business units.

Financial Reporting and Compliance

• Own and oversee budget planning, annual financial closings to ensure comprehensive financial reporting.
• Collaborate with external auditors to plan and execute audit requirements, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Set the new enhanced standard for compliance controls and procedures in collaboration with Head of Compliance
• Drive and own continued analytics reporting that supports the COO, Managing Partner, and the board.

Accounting and controlling

• Manage and contribute to cost analysis and pricing strategies in collaboration with relevant stakeholders and the financial team.
• Approve customer contract payment terms and supplier agreements.
• Lead project and cost control initiatives in alignment with approved budgets.
• Own procurement process and due diligence in close collaboration with the procurement manager.

Leadership

• Manage 2 direct reports: Finance Manager and Head of Compliance incl. a team of 26 FTE's.
• Support and drive ongoing training and development of the finance team.
• Member of the Business Support Management team, reporting to the COO.
• Key member of several strategic Plesner driven initiatives.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Extensive experience in senior financial managerial roles, with a proven track record of success- preferable in a professional service company or similar.
• Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods.
• Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software.
• Knowledge in transformation business requirements into financial planning and execution.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.
