About the team:
Data Product Hub is part of the Data & Insights area with 18 data professionals in total. We are distributed between Aarhus, Copenhagen and Oslo and now we are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our Aarhus office.

We enable teams to build data products, gain insights and make data-driven decisions in their day-to-day work whilst respecting our users’ privacy and customers’ business interests. Our data platform is built on Databricks and Unity Catalog and the infrastructure is managed with Terraform. We also cater to a wide range of regulatory and license-to-operate data solutions for the organization.

We work in a hybrid setup across locations, but we go into the office three days a week. We show keen interest in exploring new technologies and current data industry trends by attending conferences, deep-dive workshops and self-paced trainings.

What you will be doing:
As a Senior Data Engineer, you'll collaborate with a talented team of data engineers, analysts, and architects across our Oslo, Aarhus, and Copenhagen offices. A month in the life of a data engineer will be:

• Engaging with your peers and a diverse group of stakeholders - to understand and agree on what they need, design and deliver optimal data products.
• Extensively using tools like in dbt, Databricks, Python or PowerBI.
• Pair programming and knowledge sharing sessions with your peers or in data communities.
• Celebrating small and big wins but also having retrospectives on how the work went and how we can we improve even further.

...and of course, unwind by chatting with our other Aarhus colleagues by the coffee machine or playing table tennis or darts during breaks. Fridays are awesome starting with a great breakfast spread and wrapping up the week at our inhouse Friday bar.

Skills & Requirements
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer with about 8+ years of experience within the field. We enjoy working together, so it is important for us that you are a team player, but you should also enjoy taking on independent tasks and prioritize your tasks in a sensible way together with your peers and leader. You come with a spirit for collaboration to learn and grow together as a team.

These are the competencies that may describe you:

• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, cloud technologies, data modelling, data governance.
• Relevant experience using SQL, dbt, Python, Spark, Databricks, PowerBI, Azure stack or any other cloud technologies or similar tech stack.
• Skilled in Agile ways of working and CI/CD and familiar with tools like Github, Jira, Figma and Confluence for collaboration and documentation.
• Ability to take end-to-end responsibility of designing and developing data products starting from requirement scoping to delivery having a keen eye for automation.
• Extensive experience in building efficient data pipelines, ability to navigate through complex scripts and work on performance tuning.
• Ability to articulate presentations and dialogs by knowing your audience.
• Fluency in both written and spoken English, as English is our working language.
