About the Role:
CrowdStrike is seeking an Senior Engineering Manager for our LogScale Product Group in Aarhus, Denmark. You will be responsible for leading the team that builds CrowdStrike’s LogScale Search dashboard. You will have a broad, impactful, and complex area of ownership, managing highly skilled front end and cloud engineers that are building a seamless visualization and search experience for our customers, at the petabyte scale.

As a Senior Engineering Manager, you will help drive and deliver on both roadmap and technical strategy. CrowdStrike is growing rapidly and you will be instrumental in hiring, retaining, and growing a team of highly talented engineers. We are a remote-first company and are looking for effective communicators with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
You will lead a team of engineers ranging from Junior Engineers to Senior Engineer, as part of the Search group, that focuses on the core search experience of the LogScale product and how it is embedded in the CrowdStrike Falcon product.
Please Note: Candidates who apply and are successful must be located within the Jylland/Jutland area to ensure an accessible commute into our Aarhus Office.
What You’ll Do:
- You will support and drive between a team mapped onto LogScale customer personas, and you will be a people manager of individual contributors. In this capacity, we’re looking for a leader that is genuinely passionate about making others successful, as well as about building and maintaining a high-performance independent team.
- You will co-own and be accountable for delighting customers, roadmap delivery, and service level objectives in your space. You will support teams to excel in all those areas and step in to unblock and guide whenever needed.
- You will be a part of the LogScale engineering leadership team and a contributor to our roadmap, technology, and organizational decisions that impact all of the LogScale product group.
- You’ll ramp up on the LogScale technology and, we hope, become an honestly passionate hands-on advocate as you see the beauty and impact of it.
What You'll Need:
- BS/MS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years of experience in a hands-on managerial role, and at least 5 years of experience as an individual contributor.
- Experience in common frontend environments like React, Angular, or equivalent development environments specifically in LogScale we use Elm.
- Experience with shipping high-quality software in a high-scale cloud environment.
- Broad grounding in all aspects of distributed systems development and computer science fundamentals.
- Solid design and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated passion for engineering excellence, quality, security, and performance.
- Strong cross-group collaboration and interpersonal communication skills working with a variety of roles including engineering, product management, support, and sales engineering.
- Experience working with remote teams and individuals while ensuring agility and velocity.
- Ability to communicate and articulate crisply at all levels from executive staff to engineers.
- Ability and desire to be hands-on as well as leading the team and collaborating cross functionally.
- Demonstrated track record of hiring, mentoring, and growing developers.

- Experience with data visualization engineering and dashboards.
- Experience with LogManagement products and visualizing search results.
