About your future role
As a Financial Controller at Nexi, a leading European PayTech company, you will play a crucial role in overseeing financial operations and ensuring accurate reporting and compliance. Your key responsibilities in this role will include:

• Preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations
• Conducting in-depth financial analysis, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities to support strategic decision-making
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implementing financial processes, controls, and best practices
• Coordinating and overseeing the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads and senior management
• Developing and maintaining accurate financial forecasts, monitoring variances and providing insights to optimize resource allocation
• Establishing and maintaining robust internal control systems to ensure the integrity of financial data and compliance with relevant laws and regulations
• Collaborating with external auditors and regulatory bodies, facilitating audits and addressing any identified issues promptly
• Providing guidance and training to ensure adherence to accounting principles, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications needed to be successful in this role:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification is preferred
• 3- 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the financial services or technology industry
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments
• Proficiency in financial reporting software and advanced Excel skills
• Knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, and relevant financial regulations.
