How to contribute
We are searching for a skilled and motivated Virtualization Specialist with a strong automation focus to join our IT Operations team, which is a vital part of our IT organization and consists of dedicated and talented professionals. The team is responsible for all IT infrastructure within Terma, both from an operational level - evolution of existing infrastructure, to design and development of new infrastructure in coordination with stakeholders. This involves multiple datacenters, large scale networks for both IT and OT, Software Defined Access, unique security challenges within the defense industry and much more.
Some of your primary focus areas will be:

• High level management of the current platform, suggesting improvements and deploying new systems and services under guidance and in collaboration with team members
• Ability to whiteboard & take a lead technical role on larger scale IT projects
• Automation of IT infrastructure stack with focus on virtualization and Active Directory
• Help drive transformation and new ways of working
• Working towards an Infrastructure-as-code setup
• Support the maintenance of the VMware and upgrade security, functions, etc.
• Assist with development and implementation of new virtualization cluster and AD solutions
• Ensure the infrastructure is operating smoothly and minimize down time.

The ideal candidate has an academic degree in IT, Computer Science or equivalent with knowledge and experience in following areas:

• Great experience working with large scale virtualization platforms, especially VMWare
• Technical competences in PowerShell, python or Microsoft Endpoint Manager
• Experience working with Active Directory and Azure Active Directory
• Experience with Microsoft 365 services
• Understanding of IT security
• Knowledge of standard infrastructure components e.g., Network, Firewall, backup.
