Brand Governance Specialist, LEGO® Licensing & Extended Line

LEGO Koncernen

Job Description
Are you passionate about maintaining the integrity of a trusted brand? Do you have the attention to detail it takes to ensure every product reflects the highest quality?

Join our team as a Brand Governance Specialist, where you will safeguard the LEGO® brand through product approvals and partner collaboration, ensuring every licensed product meets our uncompromising standards!

Core Responsibilities
As part of the Brand Governance team you will in this role be the gatekeeper for product development and approvals within Outbound Licensing. This includes:

  • Overseeing part of the Licensing product portfolio throughout the product development cycle, ensuring high brand and quality standards from design to final production in collaboration with your team colleagues.
  • Managing relationships with external partners to ensure alignment with LEGO standards.
  • Providing brand and IP guidance as well as updates or changes on a regular basis (including connecting with internal partners such as design, brand, legal, compliance and sustainability)
  • Approving physical and digital samples to make sure the brand IP is driven to quality standards.
  • Providing support to the other Brand Governance Specialists.
  • Handle ad hoc tasks related to sample logistics and coordination.

Play your part in our team succeeding
You will join the Licensing & Extended Line (LEL) business which develops and crafts LEGO® accessories (backpacks, mugs, key hangers, t-shirts, etc.) as an add on to our lines of bricks.

LEL drives an outstanding opportunity of extending our play themes and play culture to its audiences, so they can live their love for the brand outside of brick playtime. Learning through play is at the core of everything we do, and we strive to bring that through as many touchpoints to everyone.

Please note: This is a permanent position based in Billund, Denmark. Our flexible working model allows employees to work 2 days/week from home (3 days in the office). Relocation support is not offered for this role.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Strong understanding of product development and licensing approvals (apparel, soft goods, hard goods, plastics, accessories) with a keen interest in learning what best serves the LEGO brand during sample approvals.
  • A meticulous self-starter who can work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Ability to handle a high volume of approvals in our online system, stay organized, and lead product approvals for assigned partners, providing timely and constructive feedback.
  • Strong collaboration skills with internal teams (Design, Business) and external licensees.
  • Proficient in project management and English.

What will make you stand out:

  • Experience in kids' apparel and product approvals, ideally with 3-5 years in the kids' apparel industry and/or licensing experience.
  • Passion for hands-on product experience with a proven track record in a similar role or children’s retail buying department.

Build your career brick by brick at the LEGO Group.
‘Only the best is good enough’ is the essence behind this role. Be the guardian angel that helps secure that the LEGO brand continues to be a trusted brand!”
