Sales Manager – Material Handling

- For the sales of material handling in the Nordic Region

Are you solution-oriented, technically savvy, and able to create and coordinate all sales within material handling in the Nordic Region through relationships, trust, and long-term partnerships, where advice is the focus? Do you have experience from a manufacturing company, understand the dynamics, and can you operate at multiple levels of the value chain? If so, we have the perfect job for you, as we are looking for a Sales Manager for Wanzl Nordic for a newly created position, based in Hadsten near Aarhus.

Acquisition of new clients and development of new accounts
Reporting to the CSO, you will join an exciting journey in a company with a clear growth strategy. You will conduct sales activities across the region, e.g. sales meetings, sales presentations, etc., and you will train and support sales team members in the Nordic Region within material handling products. Through a combination of a commercial mindset and technical insight, you will contribute systematic and structured efforts for a consistent and proactive sales approach. You will serve as an advisor to clients in project and solution sales and will maintain extensive internal and external contacts, ensuring the necessary internal backing so that you do not overpromise to the client. Overall, your tasks will include:

  • Sales of material handling products
  • Being fully accessible as the go-to person for the local sales teams on all material handling sales leads
  • Building long term relationships with top customers per country
  • Building a positive service image with the sales teams in Wanzl Nordic
  • Building and managing the sales pipeline / sales funnel containing a comprehensive list of local and regional customers and leads in material handling.

You will be part of a skilled sales team characterised by strong cooperation and mutual support, with significant freedom under responsibility. Extensive travel activity must be foreseen, mainly within the Wanzl Nordic countries and Germany to Wanzl HQ.

Experience in developing and executing sales strategies
You may have a commercial education combined with experience in technically oriented sales, or vice versa, and you have worked in or related to the industry with sales or product management. Your questioning techniques are thorough, allowing you to leave meetings knowing you’ve uncovered all potential needs and sales opportunities. You also excel at thinking in terms of solutions and co-developing with the client. Your success will largely depend on your credibility in sales, your comfort in client interactions, and your ability to build long-term client relationships. On a personal level, you are a strong team player who works proactively, systematically, and persistently. It comes naturally to you to lead from the front, take responsibility for projects, and drive them to successful completion. Furthermore, you possess strong analytical and result-oriented skills with a strong business sense and industry experience. Finally, you have excellent communication skills, as well as accustomed to working with various IT systems.
