About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Test Manager to join our Research and Development (R&D) team. This position is a strategic part of a larger-scale reorganization aimed at enhancing our system testing approach and optimizing our R&D footprint across multiple locations. As the Test Manager, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining a comprehensive System Test Concept and Program System Test Plans. You will have an important part in orchestrating test activities across various projects, subsystems, and domains, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
Job Responsibilities
- System Test Strategy: Create and maintain the System Test Concept and Program System Test Plans, ensuring their effective implementation across all relevant projects and subsystems.
- Cross-Product Test Coordination: Lead and coordinate thorough cross-product and cross-platform test activities, collaborating with subsystem and domain test stakeholders to ensure prompt issue resolution.
- Regulatory Compliance: Uphold and enforce regulatory compliance for medical testing processes, ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices.
- Leadership and Communication: Support testing status meetings, guiding discussions on test plans, methodologies, execution, results, and failure tracking. Present comprehensive status reports on testing progress to key stakeholders, facilitating informed decision-making.
- Support Release Meetings: Provide critical input during release meetings with detailed system test reports.
- Cross-Domain Test Steering: Oversee and coordinate cross-domain test activities on a solution level, including readiness tests and user acceptance tests, from planning to execution and reporting.
- Failure Handling and System Change Management: Steer the analysis and handling of failures at the system level, ensuring integration with project/subsystem/domain change processes. Continuously improve system test and system change management procedures in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
Professional Experience
- Test Management Expertise: Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, including experience as a System or Software Test Manager, preferably within the medical device industry.
- Comprehensive Testing Knowledge: Extensive experience with all areas of the system/software test life cycle, including requirement analysis, test planning, test case development, test environment setup, data creation, and test execution.
- Product Development Experience: Proven experience in product development, particularly with embedded software and corresponding test automation approaches.
- Proficiency in Agile frameworks: Well-versed in the application of Agile for development and testing workflows.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to work effectively in cross-domain and cross-functional development environments.
- Educational Background: University degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Certifications: ISTQB Certified Test Professional preferred.

- Leadership Attributes: Adept at steering and uplifting a collective, showcasing significant leadership expertise.
- Analytical Thinking: Excellent technical and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail and problem-solving.
- Communication Skills: Proficient in English, and knowledge of Danish or German is viewed favorably.
- Team Player: A self-motivated individual who thrives in a collaborative environment and can work effectively with various stakeholders across different departments.
