Position Title: Manager, Data & AI Center of Excellence
Location: Szczecin, Poland
Ferrosan Medical Devices is establishing a Data & AI Center of Excellence in Szczecin, Poland. We seek a dynamic and experienced Manager to lead this new initiative. This role is pivotal in driving our data strategy, data projects, and innovation pipeline, directly contributing to the enhancement of our medical devices and production efficiency.
Reporting to the Director, Group IT placed in Denmark this position will be our local IT management representative in Poland.

You are expected to set a clear direction and provide situational leadership of the “Data & AI” team with members located in both Denmark and Poland. Hence, the role requires strong leadership capabilities of building and coaching a team of highly skilled professionals to successfully deliver on our targets.
The ideal candidate must possess a strategic mindset and be a true team player with a focus on creating an open, inclusive, and collaborative work environment and establishing transparency in the team, possessing a solution-oriented mindset, and easing cross-functional collaboration and interactions between Group IT and other departments within FeMD. You probably know what it takes to lead across borders and cultures, and are curious in terms of differences in working style and know how to flex your style depending on situation, person and task.
Key Responsibilities:
• Together with Group IT management team, Lead the development and execution of the Data & AI strategy, aligning with Ferrosan’s broader business goals.
• Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of Data driven projects, from ideation through deployment, ensuring high-quality delivery and alignment with requirements.
• Build and manage a high-performing team of data scientists/ analysts, AI & data engineers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, Quality and Production units to integrate Data solutions into our daily operations.
• Stay on top of industry trends in AI and data science, incorporating cutting-edge methodologies and technologies into our projects.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience (5+ years) in leading data engineers and science teams, ideally within the healthcare, pharmaceutical, or medical devices sector.
• Preferably experience with AI/ML, data analytics, and project management.
• Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into actionable Data & AI solutions with measurable outcomes.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or other relevant background
• Previous experience of leading people across cultures and borders.
