Sustainability Program Lead

Are you motivated by driving sustainability projects in a global environment, then join Nilfisk PMO & Transformation office as a Sustainability Program Lead.

As a Sustainability Program Lead you will lead and participate in projects that transforms how we work with sustainability when we develop, produce, and serve our customers with cleaning machines.

We are aiming for this person to start on January 1, 2025.

What is the job about?
You will orchestrate cross functional efforts within ESG across Research and Development, Brand & Design, Product management, IT, Procurement, Regulatory and Marketing departments. The first task is to help Nilfisk colleagues succeed in implementing recycled plastic in our production of machines.

Also, you will be the one sharing knowledge between functions across the world, ensuring new ways of working and global best practice is implemented.

For this role, you could be based in Hadsund. We offer a hybrid workplace model, where you have the flexibility to choose where you want to work from. At the end of 2026, the Hadsund office will move into brand new buildings in Aalborg.

The team
The position is currently placed in Hadsund. However, we will in the last part of 2026 relocate to Aalborg. The team of five is placed in Hadsund, Denmark and Suzhou, China and work collaboratively with colleagues in Copenhagen, Hungary, Italy, China and USA. You will report directly to the Director of PMO & Transformation in Hadsund.

A normal day holds online meetings, preparation and reporting of projects to executive steering committees and stakeholder management in general. The tone is informal, and we go to the tasks with a positive mindset and acknowledging we are on a learning journey, where some roads we choose turn out to be detours,before we reach the finish line. Travel can be expected with approximately 10-15 days per year, primarily to our new HQ in Nordhavn

The experience you bring can come from project leadership, product management or similar function that has proven leadership in a cross functional setting, preferably in the area of developing physical products in a global setting.

We value interpersonal skills, cultural curiosity and an understanding of the sustainability transition driven by the UN Sustainable development goals. Also, you know how to drive multiple projects simultaneously in a structured way and is open to use Nilfisk stage gate model. It is a prerequisite to be fluent in oral and written English.

What happens with your application?
We will look at your application ongoingly and contact you for a phone interview if relevant. Hereafter, if there is a mutual match, we will invite you to an interview with the hiring manager. The 2nd interview will be with an HR representative together with the manager where the focus is on feedback on a personality assessment and aptitude test which we ask you to complete. 3rd and final round of interview will be an informal interview with the hiring manager's manager.

Location: Hadsund
