Main purpose of the position:

Our Group Tax function operates as a lean and hands-on team of highly skilled and effective tax professionals. The Head of Group Tax Operations position is a new role at the core of the team.

As the new Head of Group Tax Operations you will be the main driver of ISS’ fiscal license to operate: the successful management of our extensive tax compliance and tax reporting obligations. Driven by a global mindset to continually optimize our fiscal processes and rightsize our tax cost, you will very directly impact our global financial standing.

We will expect you to already have expert experience with tax reporting and compliance in large multinational businesses and a keen interest for tax technology, process automation and digitization. There will be scope to define the boundaries of the role, depending on who you are.

What you’ll do:

• Deliver ISS’ Danish tax compliance.
• Manage and deliver our group tax reporting packages.
• Guide and direct local ISS tax teams and other colleagues across the world through their work with tax reporting, withholding taxes, tax compliance, tax audits, optimization and structural matters.
• Lead the further development journey for our fiscal processes and controls with a focus on quality, resources, automation, data awareness and digital intelligence.
• Steward and develop our technical expertise on withholding taxes.
• Be a key player in the our BEPS 2.0 Pillar Two global minimum tax planning and reporting.
• Closely participate in global tax optimization, visualization and tax intelligence projects, guiding ISS’s executive management through informed decision making in areas with tax impact.

Who you’ll work with:

• As Head of Group Tax Operations, you will be working closely on a daily basis with our Head of Group Tax on all matters.
• Direct and ongoing functional direction of country tax teams and other finance colleagues across the globe is a significant and integral part of the role.
• There will be frequent collaboration with our group CFO, our corporate treasury management, finance functions in the headquarters and our locations across the world, internal and external IT functions, and many other internal stakeholders.
• Our external auditors, tax advisors and multiple public authorities in Denmark and internationally will be key contacts for you.

Key qualifications:

• We expect you to have at least 10-12+ years of solid experience with managing tax reporting, compliance and withholding tax for multinational companies, either through in-house roles, well reputed international tax consultancies or a combination of both.
• You have mastery of financial- and ERP systems as well as tax software solutions.
• You command English and Danish language skills at a professional level
• The Danish corporate tax regime is a key driver of our fiscal position, so your deep insights and expertise of that is an absolute requirement.
