To our client Secomea, we are looking for a highly skilled Senior Quality Assurance Engineer who thrives in a rapidly growing environment. You will play a crucial role in securing the overall quality of their next-gen platform while ensuring the high quality of the existing platform. This is a newly created position requiring deep technical expertise, strategic thinking, and a commitment to excellence.

Your responsibilites as Senior QA Engineer
You will have several key responsibilities, from defining and implementing test strategies to planning and help executing tests.

• Strategic Test Planning: Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive test strategies, plans, and test cases to ensure proper coverage of Secoma’s products.
• Non-Functional Testing: Conduct comprehensive non-functional testing, including performance, scalability, and reliability testing, particularly within Azure environments using Kubernetes.

• Test Automation: Design and implement automated testing frameworks and scripts to enhance testing efficiency and coverage. You will ensure that software developers are doing the best possible test automations.

• Regression Testing: Ensure thorough regression testing by the developer teams when integrating new functionalities.

• Security: Help ensuring that all software products meet industry standards, such as IEC 62443, and adhere to best practices for security and compliance.

• Continuous Improvement: Evaluate and enhance QA processes and methodologies to optimize testing effectiveness and efficiency.

You’ll interact closely with the developer teams in Herlev and India, as a substantial amount of functional testing during sprints is done by them. At Secomea, they believe that the development team must take full responsibility from idea to production, including testing.

About you
We expect you to have most of the following qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in software quality assurance, with a strong focus on IT/OT solutions.

• Expertise in both manual and automated testing methodologies.

• Good knowledge and understanding of industrial protocols (e.g., Modbus, OPC, SCADA) and cybersecurity principles.

• Extensive experience with non-functional testing, including performance and scalability testing, within Azure environments.

• Some understanding and hands-on experience with containerization and Kubernetes, as well as Linux.

Certifications in QA or security testing (e.g. ISTQB) are highly desirable.

Additionally, you’re capable of supporting and managing multiple stakeholders to handle challenges in achieving quality goals. You’re a great team player and can build a positive and supportive team culture surrounding QA.
