Frontend Tech Lead - IMPACT

ABOUT THE JOB
As a Frontend Tech Lead at IMPACT, you will lead the development of high-performance, visually engaging web applications using React and Next.js. You will collaborate with various teams to translate business requirements into user-friendly, responsive web interfaces , and will play a key role in driving the technical direction of our projects, ensuring best practices, code quality, and performance across all stages of the development lifecycle. In addition to hands-on development, you will be responsible for mentoring and guiding a team of talented frontend engineers.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in front-end development, with extensive experience in React and Next.js, a keen eye for design, and a passion for creating seamless and engaging user experiences.

Your work will be crucial in delivering world-class e-commerce solutions for clients such as Marshall, Tele2, and more.

Your primary focus areas will be leading and mentoring frontend developers, providing technical direction, overseeing code reviews, and ensuring adherence to best practices in front-end development. You will take technical responsibility for the frontend aspects of e-commerce projects, ensuring that the codebase is clean, scalable, and maintainable. Also, you will make architectural decisions for your projects together with frontend architects, choose appropriate tools, and implement modern frontend technologies to solve complex business problems.

Furthermore your tasks will be:

• Develop and maintain web applications using React and Next.js, ensuring high performance and responsiveness.
• Analyse client requests and adapt solutions that can fit both the technical team and the client's needs.
• Participates in client meetings to clarify technical questions.
• Collaborate with the delivery team on defining, estimating, documenting, and evaluating the technical solution of a project.
• Optimize components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers.
• Implement and uphold best practices in front-end development, including code quality, testing, and documentation.
• Stay current with the latest front-end technologies and industry trends, and share knowledge with the team.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain high standards of code quality and share knowledge with the team.

YOUR PROFILE
As Frontend Tech Lead you are experienced within front-end development and have a strong portfolio of technically complex web applications.

You yourself are passionate about leading and mentoring frontend teams, with strong organizational and communication skills.From your professionalism and knowledge, you have a strong familiarity with the entire web stack and ability to foresee and prevent performance bottlenecks, ensuring that all web applications are highly optimized for both users and search engines.

Additionally, we expect you to

• A deep knowledge of how the web works—from understanding browser behavior, rendering pipelines, and performance optimization techniques to network protocols and security best practices.
  
• Deep knowledge of React and Next.js, and proficiency with TypeScript, including building scalable and maintainable architectures.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, headless CMS, and composable architectures.
• Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+).
• Demonstrated ability to optimize web applications for performance and SEO, adhering to best practices and accessibility standards.
• Strong analytical skills and a solution-oriented mindset, with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to effectively coordinate with internal teams and clients.

At last, we imagine you have 6+ years experience within front-end development. Additionally, you could have an educational background within Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
