The department
Production Planning & Sourcing (P&S) is part of Product Center Allerød and works closely with multiple departments such as Development & Engineering (D&E), Global Operations (GO) and Manufacturing. In P&S we break down demand from both inhouse customers and affiliates in +30 countries spread across 6 continents ensuring delivery of Welltec’s high tech. solutions.

In P&S we ensure efficient production planning of mechanical parts for our Manufacturing site in Allerød while securing on-time delivery of various parts and consumables spread across categories such as mechanical and electrical components, raw materials, and seals. Welltec’s products will often combine internally manufactured and sourced parts, making P&S a focal point of contact for customers and an essential part of the supply chain.

Besides operational tasks, we continuously work on the improvement of processes and strategic projects from development to implementation and monitoring through Excel and Power BI tools across Welltec’s supply chain.

The work environment can be challenging and hectic due to fluctuations in demand and many different stakeholders, but for the right candidate an excellent opportunity to gain insight into the core of a fast-moving and innovative company. The position
Welltec is actively looking for a Sourcing & Planning Specialist to strengthen our team currently consisting of 7 colleagues. The position contains various tasks related to both operational and strategic sourcing within categories such as seals, springs and lubricants etc. however this could change if your area of experience or interest lies elsewhere.

You will own all sourcing-related processes from identification and selection of suppliers to the creation of purchase orders and negotiations ultimately securing deliveries are received on time, in the agreed upon quality, and at the best possible prices. An analytical mindset and a willingness to drive supplier performance over time are considered key factors for success in this role.

Other tasks could include ad hoc improvement and/or cost reduction projects or strategic initiatives both in P&S but also in other parts of Welltec’s supply chain.

20-30 travel days per year visiting suppliers should be expected.

The candidate:
The ideal candidate has experience with purchasing/souring in one or more of the mentioned categories on both operational and strategic levels as the role will include elements of both. A “get things done attitude” and an ability to work independently during periods is essential.

• Relevant academic or technical degree (extensive purchase/sourcing experience can make up for this)
• Experience with Dynamics Navision is considered a plus
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment
• Fluency in oral and written English (Danish is not a requirement but would be an advantage)
• 1-2 years of experience is preferred but not required
