The position
The M&A Finance Integration Advisor is a newly created role, where you will be responsible for driving the accounting/financial input associated with post-deal integration on complex M&A and business development activities. We are currently seeking candidates for both senior and junior levels, providing junior candidates with the opportunity to progress into this role.

Your main task will be to drive financial integration from an accounting perspective, including:

  • Support integration strategy and ensure day 1 readiness for acquired companies
  • Support ERP implementation and coordinate efforts with IT colleagues (i.e. mapping of chart of accounts, ensuring opening balances are booked correctly, etc.)
  • Support month-end reporting in collaboration with the acquired finance organisation and Business Finance by adding relevant adjustments to comply with IFRS
  • Bridge and standardise accounting policies to align with Novo Nordisk accounting practise
  • Engage with senior stakeholders in acquired companies to collect data and help them to adapt to Novo Nordisk reporting requirements

You will have the opportunity to develop best practise tools and processes for the integration of future business acquisitions.

You will work closely with core team stakeholders from Business Finance, Tax, Legal and Business Development. The role thus provides a fantastic opportunity to be at the centre of strategic growth opportunities in Novo Nordisk and engage with senior stakeholders across the organisation.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have

  • Ideally a master’s degree in accounting, Finance, Economics or similar.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with Integration of businesses, either from accounting advisory/CFO services or in an acquiring company. As a junior candidate, you may have a background in accounting or auditing.
  • Strong financial toolbox and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working with complex ERP systems (SAP-knowledge would be a benefit but is not mandatory.)

As a person, you are a team player and you have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills and a strong commercial understanding. You are structured and thrive when ensuring measurable progress. Furthermore, you like to set high ambitions for yourself and the team and enjoy working with a diverse group of people.

About the department
The M&A Accounting team is part of the broader department “Consolidated Reporting “. The goal of the M&A team is to be the center of excellence for driving financial due diligence, accounting for- and integrating of complex business acquisitions across Novo Nordisk.

The Consolidated Reporting department consists of around 25 professionals distributed among 5 teams, boasting a vibrant diversity and dynamic environment. Besides M&A Accounting, the area is also responsible for Consolidation, ESG- and Financial Reporting as well as Internal controls. As a M&A Finance Integration Advisor, you will be reporting to the Head of M&A accounting.
