At Egmont we are looking for a Corporate M&A Manager to join Egmont Corporate Finance which covers M&A, Treasury and Procurement. We are a small department with great ambitions, and, above all, we want to excel in our core disciplines and to assist our divisions in realising their goals. Our team supports Egmont’s Business Areas with different M&A related activities.
About the job
As Corporate M&A Manager you will:
- Execute and steer M&A processes as Project Manager
- Prepare business cases and valuations
- Coordinate due diligence processes internally as well as externally
- Negotiate Share Purchase agreements etc. with internal and external stakeholders
- Prepare reports for Group Management and the Board
- Extract financial data from different systems and make financial models (incl. our large WACC model)
- Make ad-hoc analysis to be used internally.
A natural part of the position is close cooperation with our Business Areas and other corporate functions such as Corporate Strategy & Development, Corporate Legal, Corporate Accounting & Controlling as well as external parties.
You will be exposed to changing assignments and sometimes unpredictable workdays in a Scandinavian environment and an ever-changing media landscape. There will be periods with high workload and periods which are relatively quiet.
You are proactive, a relationship-builder and an expert within your field
As a person, you are ambitious, proactive, fact based and structured. You can dig in the detail as well as keep the overview of complex processes and you are an expert within your field. We are looking for a business-oriented person who has a big interest in advising the business in M&A matters.
You have:
- +4 years’ experience from a similar position in a large corporation, investment banking, PE or consulting
- A relevant master’s degree (cand.polit, cand.oecon, cand.merc. or similar)
- Thorough experience with building business cases, valuation, and other aspects of the M&A process
- Project management experience and the ability to handle multiple internal and external stakeholders
- A desire to make a difference in the interaction with management
- Solid interpersonal skills and track record in establishing productive working relationships with all stakeholders
- Excellent oral, presentation and written communicational skills in English and a Scandinavian language
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills, in particular Excel and PowerPoint
You are ready to make an extra effort when deadlines are coming up, but you also possess patience to work with long term projects and strategies. Also, creating relations interests and comes easily to you.
