In Demant we have initiated our digital journey replacing different ERP systems in favor of more standardized systems. This we expect to be going on for the next many years. The financial Business Intelligence (BI) platform as well as the planning and consolidation system (SAP BPC), however, are expected to be replaced during the next couple of years.

As part of that process, we are looking for a Financial System Specialist to build the financial data warehouse and standard BI reports – first as an improvement to our existing systems and next as part of our new systems. In addition, you will be supporting the replacement of SAP BPC.

Newly created position
In this job you have a direct influence on improving our transition to a new finance BI platform and use of data. Working project-oriented your focal point is to develop financial BI cubes and reports together with the BI team, as well as participate in replacing our consolidation and budget tool.

More specifically you will:

• Implement financial cubes, standard reports and dashboards within BI based on business needs and best practices.
• Participate in the implementation of a new consolidation system and budget tool.
• Ensure data quality and accuracy.
• Create single version of the truth across systems (SVOT).
• Build and maintain financial models for local and global finance.
• Conduct finance BI data training sessions for local and global finance users as well as other relevant users.

Group Financial Systems is part of Group Finance. Our global finance team consists of more than 600 professionals, and we operate in areas of Financial Reporting and Compliance, Business Finance, Planning & Analysis, Treasury, Tax, Accounting, and Financial Systems. Additionally, 150 finance colleagues in our shared Service Center in Poland play a crucial in supporting our global business operations. This means there will be a lot of stakeholder management in your job.

As part of the implementations, you will travel around four times per year mainly to Poland, which amounts to maximum 20 days in total.

You will be working from our headquarters in Smørum. When you are up and running, you will have up to two days per week where you can work from home.

What you will join
We are a team of 14 people of which the 10 are working out of Poland. The team in Poland are covering ERP, workflow and travel solutions, Financial BI, compliance, and security whereas as the team in Demark covers consolidation, planning and Financial BI.

Your manager will be Director Financial Systems & Process Improvements, Henrik Skifte. He has been with us for little more than a year and has solid experience within finance, BI, financial systems and implementations. He is the type that emphasizes that you are on top of the process, best practice and are largely self-driving. When starting this job, you will get a thorough onboarding, so you have the foundation in place.

To become part of us we expect you to have 4+ years of experience from a similar position and solid technical proficiency in financial systems ranging from ERP to BI and consolidation or planning systems.

This means that you can design and implement financial BI solutions that are user-friendly, reliable and scalable.

You can use various BI tools and platforms to create and deliver reports and dashboards that meet businesses requirements.

You can understand and support the budget/forecast process and ensure data consistency and integrity.

And you can create and updates financial models that support decision making and scenario analysis.

Personally, it is easy for you to collaborate and communicate effectively with your stakeholders when managing expectations and feedback.
