Senior IT Network Security Engineer (FW expert)

Join us in this role where you’ll work closely with the IT Product Owner and a passionate team to understand, execute, and document the technical requirements that drive the analysis, design and operations of our solutions. The team is accountable for the IT infrastructure at our production sites and their responsibilities are to maintain and support our existing network security infrastructure, manage, and operate Palo Alto (FW) and Cisco devices, and manage platforms like Panorama. One of the main tasks is the installation and delivery of network security infrastructure components on our North American production sites.

You’ll be part of the delivery organization Production IPL, Team Security Foundations where you, together with your colleagues, will maintain and support our existing production security infrastructure on our production sites, keep the IT infrastructure running as a stable platform for our business, install security infrastructure components on our production sites worldwide and work together with our network architects, enterprise architects, and key stakeholders to design and implement new projects. You’ll also support the SAFe transformation within the team and ensure a collaborative and positive work spirit. You’ll play an important role in:
- operating and deploying firewalls, e.g. PaloAlto, Cisco , as well as basic skills in configuring routers, switches, and management platforms like Panorama or others
- working with Scada/OT network (production network)
- working as part of a team and participating in retaining a strong supporting team collaboration
- planning and organising your daily work (incidents and changes) in an open and constructive environment, where English is the corporate language
- maintaining existing and establishing new critical assets (production sites) like windfarms, solar-farms and Generation Control Center connectivity.
To succeed in the role, you:
- have hands-on working experience with networking/firewalls (Cisco Palo Alto + Panorama) and basic certifications like CCNA or equivalent
- have 3-5 years of relevant experience as an IT OT network engineer working in complex organisations with local and global interfaces
- have an IT network related education, bachelor’s degree in Engineering or similar
- are a bright self-starter with a curious and perseverant can-do approach and the ability to work effectively with remote colleagues and peers
- are proficient in English as this is the corporate language.have some knowledge with other security infrastructure components like proxy servers, unidirectional gateways or other.
