Data engineer - Global support

We are searching for a Data engineer

This position is based at our friendly office in Warsaw and you will join our Global Support team. It consists of developers in various platforms: Azure Data Factory, Power BI, Power Apps /Automate, ServiceNow reports/dashboards, and a team architect reporting to the development manager.

The team provides multiple services within BEC such as report designing, data analysis, business processes automation, AI-based apps development, controlling, business processes execution and more. We are passionate about automation, streamlining, and standardizing. We make business workflows to execute quicker. We enable customers to see data to make informed decisions. We change BEC. Come and join us in this journey. At BEC, we prefer to collaborate often in the office, but we also keep the opportunity to work remotely

Primary tasks and responsibilities include:

In the position of data engineer, you will work closely with reporting designers within Global Support and with our internal customers such as IT management, Facility Management, Risk & Security and many more functions in BEC. Your primary tasks and responsibilities will include:

• Designing, creating and maintaining end-to-end ETL solutions

• Designing, creating and maintaining underlying data model as per the needs from BI frontend designers

• Analyzing data sources and recommending data extract cycles and methods

• Optimizing data load jobs

• Collecting requirements from BI report designers and at the same time being able to advise alternative approaches

To succeed you will:

• Have 3-4 years of experience from a similar position working with data warehouses, ETL tasks, SQL queries, data modeling

• Listen actively

• Easily communicate with people

• Understand their needs

• Show alternative ways of meeting their needs

• Be hungry for knowledge

• Know how to search internet/documentation quickly and effectively if something is new to you

• Be fluent in spoken and written English, working in teams in Denmark and Poland

It’s nice-to-have:

• Experience with Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Power BI, ServiceNow Performance Analytics
