Your role and responsibilities
We are now looking for a Trade & Transportation Specialist to join our skilled and dedicated SCM team in Västerås Sweden. As a Trade & Transportation Specialist you will play a vital role for ABB Robotics. You will be a key player in local transport and warehousing management and supporting the trade compliance officer. Our 3,000-plus procurement and logistics employees work in more than 100 countries, to obtain and supply millions of products and services in over 200 categories from thousands of suppliers all over the world. Our goal is to create a supply base that works as an extended enterprise, creating value through continuous improvement in quality, technology, and logistics, while optimizing cost and sustainability. Your responsibilities • Plan, execute, monitor transport and warehouse related activities within the local unit, and drive continuous improvement activities to ensure high-quality and efficient transport and warehousing operations. • Manage operational relationships with transport and warehouse suppliers and implement plans and processes. • Follow up cost and CO2 emission KPI´s related to warehousing and transport. • Monitor daily import/export shipments and ensure smooth customs clearance via the appointed customs brokers (e.g., regarding valuation or classification of products). • Understand and apply relevant customs procedures, ensure the relevant declarations are correctly made and maintain relevant data in local trade and customs applications. • Communicates with export- and import-related authorities and suppliers, as necessary, to ensure efficient execution.

Qualifications for the role

• Work experience in customs / supply chain / transport or related fields. Preferably from manufacturing industry. Proficiency with Excel and SAP MM Module is a strong advantage
• Degree in Engineering, Economics, logistics or equivalent work experience.
• Good communication and presentation skills, both in English and Swedish.
• You are a driven person with strong analytical skills and a result-oriented approach to solving problems and delivering to target, independently and together with the team.
