Responsibilities
The overall purpose of our team is to pave the way for the near future wind energy expansion worldwide. Grasping the methods to anticipate and enhance the performance of wind turbines, including their loads, energy output, and acoustics over time, is essential for optimal operation.
Your role will involve spearheading creative approaches in wind energy technology. The focus will be on load modelling, aeroelastic calculations and validation. You will be involved in the entire innovation process from identifying challenges, creating and implementing solutions as well as validation and documentation.
You will get the opportunity to be involved in a vast number of different tasks such as taking technical leadership hereunder

  • Exploring wind turbine conceptual designs and evaluate business potential
  • Creating load models, simulate and analyse results for various wind turbine concepts
  • Being the go-to person for aerodynamic and aeroacoustics topics of wind turbines and wind power plants
  • Communicating with stakeholders
  • Define and implement improvements in the load simulation process
  • Lead test campaigns

Qualifications

  • You have a technical master (or higher) degree such as M.Sc. in Engineering
  • Experience with wind turbine research and development
  • Deep physical and technical wind turbine understanding particularly within structural dynamics and aerodynamics
  • Experience with HAWC2
  • Proficient in coding with Python and Matlab
  • experience with wind turbine rotor design
  • Familiarity with control of wind turbines is an advantageous qualification
