Welcome to Cross-Dock Terminal and Distribution
You will be joining the European Groupage Network team to head our Cross-Dock Terminal and Distribution teams. The tight-knit team of 6 is responsible for developing the 100+ DSV terminals and connected distribution and parters.
Our primary focus is on the extensive transformation of our existing network to optimise efficiency, performance, and quality through production standardisation.
The Engineering and Development teams are based at the DSV headquarters in Hedehusene, Denmark. However, you are not required to be based here, as we offer a hybrid work environment where many of your new colleagues work from DSV offices in Krefeld, Germany, and Venlo in the Netherlands.

Develop and standardise our terminal production and distribution.
As Senior Manager, you will support your team in their daily tasks, motivate them, and provide guidance, coaching, and continuous development opportunities.
Moreover, you will be responsible for the execution of our cross-dock terminals and distribution standardisation, local and external partners. And to ensure efficient procedures and processes for our +100 DSV Road production in Europe. Doing so, you will play an important role in achieving consistency within your area and maximise our resource utilisation.
Also, you can look forward to:
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders, including Operations, Sales, and Customer Service to ensure seamless coordination and elevate customer satisfaction.
- Monitoring and analysing key performance indicators (KPIs) to pinpoint areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions for risk management concerning our SuperHubs
- Driving development in the utilisation of IT systems and tools to streamline operations and boost productivity.
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
- Collaborating with colleagues and external partners, such as universities and suppliers, to optimise and innovate transportation and logistics processes.
- Implement change management/communication for process and standards development
- Partly leading the production standardisation rollout for Europe.
This job will take you travelling up to 40 days per year.
Solid leadership skills, process understanding and logistics experience.
As a seasoned professional, you bring solid leadership skills and the ability to motivate, develop, and lead your team.
Moreover, you not only know how to analyse complex data, but you can also identify opportunities for process improvements, and you have proven your ability to meet set goals within schedule and budget constraints.
Also, we expect you to:
- Possess 7+ years of extensive experience in the transport and logistics industry and knowledge of cross dock terminal production and distribution.
- Hold a degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field
- Have in-depth knowledge of system transport/groupage network, including experience with the use of IT systems (TMS) and optimisation operation tools
- Have experience in developing and implementing transport strategies and optimising processes.
- Have hands-on experience in managing haulier/partner development, agreements and contracts, including SOPs and SLAs
- Possess a comprehensive understanding of regulatory requirements and quality standards in cross dock terminal +distribution production
- Speak and write English effortlessly
