Introduction
We are looking for a Financial Business Partner to support the B-t-C business unit. In the job you will be a part of the FP&A team and support the Director of B-t-C with both financial update as well as analysis to strengthen the profitability of the business unit. The business includes all aspects related to cars and passengers from tickets to marketing and consumption on the ferries, and how this can be improved to the benefit of our customers.

The position has a direct reference to VP, Head of Financial Planning & Analysis.

Job description
Scandlines is a renowned ferry operator between Germany and Denmark, connecting two routes multiple times per day and based on a strong German-Danish collaboration. In 2023, Scandlines transported close to 6.4 million passengers, over 1.6 million cars and over 700,000 freight units.

The company is aiming for a sustainable ferry operation and the green agenda is a part of all our activities. Within short time, a new fully electric ferry will become a part of the Scandlines Fleet.

As Finance Business Partner you must adapt to our strategic ambitions, while being a trusted and valued Business Partner for B-t-C unit.

Area of responsiblities
This role is responsible for supporting the organization within B-t-C (Passengers) for both our ferry routes between Rødby/Puttgarten and Gedser/Rostock. This includes:

• Monthly reporting, analysis’ and follow up on performances explained by KPI’s
• Full Year Budget and Forecasting during the year
• Participation in Management Meetings
• Analysis on revenue streams across traffic and ticket types
• Analysis on margins on both Retail and Catering on the ferries
• Contribute to development of reporting and KPI’s to strengthen performance
• Ad hoc analysis

Competencies
We are looking for:

A Finance Business Partner, who is comfortable interacting with all levels of the organization. You hold an academic degree and have at least 3 years of experience in Financial Business Partnering mindset and improvement efforts, such as strengthening the internal reporting and interact with the organization to deliver a solid report of the financial performances.

Further, we are looking for someone who is good at creating relations and followership among colleagues and stakeholders.

Personal skills
In addition, we are looking for someone with:

• Demonstrated ability to analyze, understand, and solve complex problems
• Excellent collaborator with stakeholders and team members
• Personal drive with a focus on taking initiative and producing results
• Structured and enterprising approach to problem solving
• Knowledge of Power BI is an advantage
