In Intempus, we are looking for you - a curious and driven Business Data Engineer to join our team of 45 employees. Your role as Business Data Engineer
As our Business Data Engineer, your role will be essential in helping our teams across the company visualize and measure the effectiveness of their efforts and help drive data-informed decisions.

You will specialize in retrieving data of our key business metrics such as product user interactions, insights into the customer journey and much more. Using Python you can write the code needed to collect and retrieve data both from our system and external systems.

You will be part of our backend team but work with our different teams, both development and commercial teams, as well as collaborate closely with our CEO to plan, design and drive data collection projects.

Your key responsibilities

• Lead data collection initiatives: Act as the primary driver of business data collection tasks, ensuring that all data align with business goals and are actionable
• Maintainability & accessibility: Ensure that the data collection is maintainable, scalable and easily accessible to all stakeholders across the company
• Code quality & performance: Uphold high standards in the development process ensuring that the data collection is optimized for performance and meet best practices in coding and deployment
• Collaborative insights: Work closely with product and business teams to translate complex data and user flows into clear insightful visualizations
• Tool development: Design and implement automated tools or processes that streamline the generation and update of reports

Examples of tasks
In this role, your tasks will change depending on the business needs. In collaboration with your colleagues, you will decide what data is relevant to focus on and analyze. Examples of tasks could include:

• Churn analysis: Why and when do customers churn?
• Customer journey analysis: Can the customer journey be optimized?
• Feature analysis: Which features are not used in the system?
• Conversion rate: Assist the Marketing team in analyzing website conversions.

Who are you?
There may be many different paths leading to the role as Business Data Engineer and we appreciate your unique background and story. The most important for us is that you:

• Have a curious and analytical mindset
• Are self driven and proactive in your work (we don’t believe in micromanagement!)
• Want to help shape the future of our product and company through data insights
• Can clearly present and communicate data trends to internal stakeholders
• Have a technical background, for example with backend development, DevOps, data science or similar
• Have experience with Python and preferably Django as well
