Key Responsibilities:

As part of our Global Partnerships & Enablement team embedded in the Global Public & Regulatory Affairs team, you will be at the forefront of shaping Maersk's influence on the global stage. Our team supports Maersk´s Executive Leadership Team (ELT) on strategic engagements with a worldwide scope. In this role, you'll develop a deep understanding of how political, economic, and social dynamics influence global trade and logistics. You will handle a broad range of responsibilities, including:

  • Strategic Engagement and Outreach: Develop and implement comprehensive engagement strategies for our top leadership to enhance the company's presence at key global forums such as the UN Climate Change Conferences (COPs), World Economic Forum (WEF) meetings, and regional Climate Weeks. This includes preparing briefing notes, managing logistics, and potentially attending events to support and ensure seamless execution to strengthen relationships with policymakers and influential stakeholders to advance our strategic interests.
  • Policy Analysis and Thought Leadership: Support the creation of in-depth policy and market analyses, presentations, and white papers on critical topics like logistics, global trade, and climate change. Ensure these materials effectively communicate our positions and are strategically disseminated to influential bodies globally, regionally and locally.
  • High-Level Political Coordination: Oversee the planning and execution of high-level political visits to Maersk’s headquarters, including coordinating logistics, setting agendas, and briefing senior management. Proactively collaborate with the Global Public Affairs team to contribute to shaping the evolving regulatory landscape.
  • Enablement and Ad-Hoc Project Support: Provide ad-hoc support to specific projects across various areas and regions, facilitating cross-functional collaboration and ensuring that initiatives are aligned with Maersk's strategic objectives and deliver maximum impact.

Who We’re Searching For:

  • Proactive and organized team member with a passion for business, politics, and sustainability
  • Degree in Public Affairs, Political Science, International Relations, Law, Environmental Studies, Economics, Communications or a related field. Master’s degree preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in Politics, Advocacy, Event Planning, Trade, or related fields
  • Ability to synthesize complex political and business concepts, translate the concepts into tangible implications and recommendations
  • Knowledge of and experience with planning global platform participation or advocacy events is beneficial
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic and high-pace team, and in an evolving industry where adjusting strategies in response to changing regulations and political climates is commonplace
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel
  • International perspective and Fluency in English
  • Permanently based in Copenhagen
