Vestas Technology & Operations (VTO) is where new product ideas are developed, matured, improved, and tested. Within Supplier Quality & Development, you'll find our department, Standards, Offshore and NPI Program Management.
Vestas Supplier Quality and Development is part of Vestas Quality, working in close partnership with Global Procurement. Our mission is to instill and uphold Vestas’ winning quality culture among our suppliers, with a clear focus on ensuring a “right-first-time” approach. This means working exclusively with highly qualified suppliers.
Our team is culturally diverse and globally distributed, collaborating closely with regional peers across multiple countries. As ambassadors of quality, we have an important role in developing supplier innovation, particularly in new turbine development projects, supporting Vestas’ aspirational strategy forward.

Responsibilities
Global Procurement Program Manager (GP PM) and SQD Business Partnering

  • Act as the primary representative of the Supplier Quality & Development (SQD) function, partnering closely with Global Procurement Program Management (GP PM). Collaborate in the development and implementation of Program Management processes with the GP PM department. Align deliverables for Offshore Readiness with GP PM inputs. Coordinate with SQD Modules and Regions to provide updates on supplier activities and item status, ensuring alignment with Program Management needs
  • Ensure a comprehensive overview of SQD Supplier Assessments, Improvements, and ITEM Approvals for New Product Introductions, aligning with the Program Management requirements. Provide necessary reporting for SQD Global Modules and Regions to GP PM where applicable
  • Collaborate with SQD Governance, Standards, and Transformation to update ITAP Offshore Customer activities, in line with the Program Management requirements of GP PM

Business Excellence

  • Enhance efficiency by promoting lean processes and advancing tool development/optimization (digitalization) related to SQD inputs for GP Program Management

Governance

  • Propose KPIs and targets, ensuring fulfillment within the Program Management area. Ensure visibility of key SQD activities for major projects within Program Management. Ensure early engagement of SQD and suppliers for necessary activities in the Program Management area
  • Monitor and escalate potential risks related to projects, supplies, and items
  • Escalate risks associated with design, procurement, or supplier readiness that may impact project success

Qualifications
We are seeking an ideal candidate with the following qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an Engineering discipline or equivalent qualification
  • 5+ years of experience in Supplier Quality Management, Global Procurement, or Program/Project Management, working with culturally diverse teams in a matrix organization
  • Green Belt Six Sigma certification (beneficial)
  • Certified auditor for ISO9001, ISO14001, and OHSAS 18001 (beneficial)
  • Practical experience with the APQP framework
  • Relevant background in Procurement and experience working with suppliers on complex projects
  • Industry experience in a similar role or relevant background is highly desirable

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and collaborate effectively to achieve shared goals

  • Demonstrated leadership abilities to work with diverse stakeholders in a multicultural environment
  • Good mediation skills to navigate differing perspectives and find optimal solutions for the company’s mission. Additionally, the ability to drive, coordinate, and ensure the delivery of strategic priority projects related to Supplier Quality & Development is essential
