The job
We are looking for an API (Backend) Test Automation Engineer to help write and maintain automated integration tests for our recently launched SaaS called IQX, a centralized platform for managing, optimizing, and monitoring food production analytical instruments.

We expect you to take over our existing Automated Testing codebase based on Postman and develop it into a generic test automation setup. As a Backend Test Automation Engineer, you’ll be responsible for converting complex backend use cases into automated test scenarios that are clean, reusable, and scalable.

The position is based at our headquarters in Hillerød, where many of the product stakeholders are also based: R&D, IQX Operations and IQX Product Management. As part of QA team located also in Warsaw, you should expect some travelling of about 2-3 times a year. You will be reporting to the Head of QA in Denmark and be an integral part of IQX Development team.

Primary tasks

• Write automated integration tests to connect cloud-based services to web-apps
• Deploy and manage regression tests on CI/CD (Azure) and maintain Continuous Testing process
• Perform manual tests where automated tests are impossible or not practical
• Provide meaningful inputs for the dashboards like test coverage & test run statistics
• Participate in triaging defects
• Demonstrate a collaborative and supportive approach when working with cross-functional agile teams
• Collaborate with Product Owners in defining and prioritizing your work into sprints

Qualifications

• 3+ years of backend software testing experience
• Experience with writing API tests using Postman and JavaScript
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Solid experience in testing RESTful applications
• Focused on software quality assurance and test automation
• Ability to work with multiple technologies with a capacity to pick up new ones as required
• ISTQB (or similar) certifications

Personal skills

• Analytical mindset, the ability to understand and test all options for interaction between the user and the system
• Good communication skills and ability to formulate a problem clearly and concisely
• Security and Performance testing minded attitude to QA activities
• Experience working in distributed teams & environment
• We are an international company therefore we expect your English to be fluent
