Have you got experience optimizing wet lab-based processes? Do you possess a high-throughput mindset for data gathering? We are looking for scientists to help us acquire large amounts of quality data through externalization of research. If this sounds exciting, then this could be the right opportunity for you.
Apply today for a life-changing career!

The Position
As a Cloud Lab Scientist, you will play a pivotal role in conducting outsourced scientific research using Contract Research Organizations (CROs) and Cloud Labs. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge science and innovation. Specifically, we seek to supplement internal datasets with large amounts of structured data made for bespoke purposes. You will be responsible for acquiring this data – not in our labs, but with remote vendors!

Some of your key responsibilities will be:

  • Outsourcing research in support of biopharmaceutical science.
  • Using your experience in recombinant protein production or peptide synthesis, to ensure timely deliveries from external vendors.
  • Set and control quality measurements in terms of advanced biophysical and in vitro assays.
  • Apply quality mindset to balance speed and quality of delivered results.
  • Collaborate effectively with CROs and cloud lab partners.
  • Ensure timely and successful completion through stakeholder management and good communicative skills.
  • A keen eye for details to direct concrete scientific work with cloud lab partners.
  • Present results to stakeholders, internal and external, with clarity and precision.

The seniority level of the position will be decided based on the chosen candidates’ qualifications and experience. We welcome people of all experience levels to apply and grow with us.

No relocation package can be offered for this opportunity.

Qualifications
To thrive and succeed in this position we would expect you to recognize yourself in the below:

  • You have a PhD-degree in molecular biology, chemistry, biophysics, biomedical research or similar. Industry experience in a relevant scientific discipline could be an advantage.
  • You are experienced with general laboratory procedures and experimentation, with familiarity in recombinant protein production or peptide synthesis, including purification and QC.
  • You are familiar with scripting or high-level programming languages such as Python, C# or similar.
  • You have experience in acquisition of large data amounts from high throughput screenings or other approaches such as DoE.
  • It would be beneficial if you have experience from Cloud Labs, such as Emeral Cloud Lab.

As a person, you are curious and open-minded to new ideas, people, and challenges. You have excellent communication skills, and you thrive working in a cross-functional, multi-disciplinary setting. You are a good team player, who consistently engages in constructive collaborations and values collaboration and knowledge sharing. Your passion for science and ability to impact and progress projects inspires those around you.

As this job will involve collaboration across the globe, we will offer flexible work time to ensure a healthy work/life balance.
