“You will take on the role of Chief Accountant for several Danish entities. In this role, you will be a team member and discussion partner for your colleagues in the Group Accounting team, as well as supporting external audit facilitation, preparation of Danish statutory accounts, etc., across all Danish entities”, says Head of Group Accounting DK, Jesper Blauenfeldt.

How you will make an impact:
As a Senior Finance Professional, you will play a crucial role in accounting at Arla. This includes:

• Support on the monthly group reporting and annual report process together with the cross-country team.
• Perform financial controlling and ensure compliance with internal and external accounting requirements.
• Proactively ensure that accounting impacts from business developments are captured properly and in line with IFRS.
• Prepare statutory accounts for relevant Danish entities that you will be responsible for.
• Ensure strongly and timely stakeholder focus by being visible and join relevant projects contributing with your accounting expertise.
• Work closely together cross-country with colleagues in the Group Accounting organization and the extended team.
• Continuously challenge accounting processes and controls and drive improvements.

What will make you successful
You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with a specialization in Accounting or equivalent. This is combined with at least two to three years of experience working with qualified accounting questions, preferably within one of the larger auditor firms, which has given you comprehensive knowledge of accounting regulations (IFRS) / ÅRL, internal controls, and an understanding of business processes.

• Proficiency in Danish and English is required, both written and spoken.
• Ability to independently manage projects.
• Capability to handle periods of higher pace calmly.
• Understand the importance of providing great service to stakeholders and customers.
• Ability to work well both in teams and independently.
• Described as positive, calm and structured.
