The role
The Finance Director is a key member of the Finland management team and the Finance Leadership Team, acting as a strategic partner to business owners within the local market and working closely as a right hand to the CEO Finland. This role includes managing the local Finance team, covering both Commercial Business Control and the country P&L.

Key responsibilities include overseeing the local business control function, forecasting and optimizing operational and financial performance, coordinating and consolidating Finnish business performance, conducting in-depth product performance analyses, leading strategic initiative assessments, driving efficiency projects and developing robust business cases. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive and strategic approach to supporting the Finnish business and ensuring alignment with overall company goals.

This position combines hands-on daily duties with complex analytical tasks. Strong stakeholder management, including advanced communication skills, is essential, as this role interacts with all functions across the company, including top management, within both the Commercial Finance and Group Finance functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive strategic initiatives to support business growth and development.
• Oversee business development and strategic planning activities.
• Lead and manage the local Finance team, defining roles and responsibilities.
• Prepare, report, and analyze monthly performance, including rolling forecasts.
• Track business performance with KPI scorecards and essential reporting.
• Coordinate KPI analysis with stakeholders across the business.
• Oversee the preparation and reporting of P&L and Balance Sheet, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and latest estimate processes.
• Ensure robust processes for financial reporting and operational improvements through a system-oriented approach.
• Provide key financial oversight for standard finance functions, maintaining compliance with financial policies and supporting P&L and Balance Sheet integrity.
• Ad hoc reports and projects.

What we’re looking for

• A proactive, business-oriented approach with strong drive and ambition, along with a strategic mindset and a passion for business development.
• 10+ years of professional experience in controlling or financial roles.
• Proven leadership and management experience.
• An academic degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
• A solid financial background with advanced knowledge of key financial KPIs, including Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to present data clearly and comprehensively.
• A structured approach with strong execution skills.
• Self-motivated with a talent for developing and improving processes, reporting, and systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• High proficiency in MS Excel.
• A system-oriented approach with the ability to quickly adapt to and utilize new systems and tools.
