Do you want to contribute to fighting poverty and inequality in the world? Are you interested in climate justice, human rights and international development? And do you see climate adaptation, resilience, and mitigation as important for developing just and green societies? Then you could be the intern that we would like to engage in Oxfam’s climate justice work.
Background

  • Support planning and facilitating events, workshops and processes related to our climate work – both online and physical.
  • Participate in national and international task teams and networks on Climate Justice.
  • Support internal mainstreaming of climate and environmental issues to reduce Oxfam Denmark´s carbon footprint.

  • You have good strategic thinking and planning skills that enable you to work with project development.
  • You are capable of working independently and as part of a team to reach a common goal.
  • You possess good writing skills and communicate complex issues in a simple and understandable way – both orally and in writing.
  • You speak and write English fluently.
  • You like being part of a team of good colleagues and engage in social activities.

What do we offer?
As an intern at Oxfam Denmark, you will gain thorough insight into an organisation that works for a better and more equal world by fighting poverty. You will get exciting tasks and new challenges that can make a difference. At the same time, you will participate in the daily life of the organisation, joint meetings and processes and thus get an insight into organisational processes. Moreover, you will be part of a dynamic and fun workplace with a large international network.

Conditions
We expect the internship to be full time (37 hours/week). However, we are flexible in relation to classes, exams, and student jobs, so 30 to 37 hours can be agreed. The length of the internship is for five months with expected start date 3 February 2025. The internship is unpaid but daily lunches in our canteen are provided for free.
