Job Description

Core Responsibilities:
The primary responsibility of this role is to act as an expert on Scope 3 supplier data within procurement, supporting our goal to reduce Scope 3 carbon emissions and enabling us to achieve our corporate-wide sustainability ambitions.

More specifically you will:

  • Collect analyze, and interpret relevant sustainability data, including scope 3 emissions, and promote sustainability practices throughout the supply chain.
  • Work together with suppliers and the procurement team to identify, quantify and assess emissions reduction opportunities within our supply base.
  • Generate comprehensive reports, dashboards, and visualization tools to communicate insights and facilitate data-driven decision-making for procurement teams, internal business teams and suppliers.
  • Develop and implement effective data analytics strategies and methodologies, including implementation of controls to ensure compliance with relevant sustainability regulations and standards.
  • Collaborate with teams to identify key performance indicators and establish benchmarks for sustainability metrics.
  • Monitor sustainability performance and visualize areas for improvement.
  • Support audits and assessments related to sustainability performance and reporting by providing data and information as needed.
  • Identify IT systems and tools vital to support the team and supplier sustainability objectives, collaborating with internal and external digital teams to develop and maintain said systems.
  • Provide training support to procurement colleagues on the use of reports, dashboards, systems and tools related to supplier sustainability data.

Play your part in our team succeeding:
The Procurement Supplier Sustainability team is responsible to set strategic environmental direction toward our supply base, develop mid-and long-term roadmaps, implement and run our environmental supplier engagement program, embed sustainability into procurement processes and enable execution of the LEGO Group Scope 3 initiatives.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Bachelor's degree in business, environmental science, sustainability, or another related field is required. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Proven experience with ISO standards relevant to LCA, such as 14040, 14044, 14025, 14064, and 14067.
  • LCA experience with one or more sector areas such as chemicals, machinery, packaging, logistics, construction products, electronics/tech.
  • Ability to produce reports (screening-level and ISO-conformant, comparative and non-comparative) and presentations based on the results of LCAs
  • Experience using LCA software and methodologies (e.g., SimaPro)
  • Ability to communicate key data needs, concepts, tactics, outcomes, and standards related to Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) and corporate Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Inventories.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with collaborators at all levels.
  • Thorough, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to finding opportunities for improvement.
  • Proficient in English, written and verbal

Please note: This is a permanent position based in either Billund, Denmark or London, United Kingdom. Our flexible working model allows employees to work 2 days/week from home (3 days in the office). Relocation support is not offered for this role.
