YOUR MISSION
With a focus on both innovation and precision, the Quantitative Department collaborates closely with traders to develop sophisticated models that predict market trends, assess risks, and identify profitable trading opportunities. Our mission is to transform complex data into clear, strategic guidance that supports Energi Danmark's competitive edge in the dynamic and fast-paced energy trading environment.

As a Quantitative Analyst, your mission will be to:

  • Create and refine analytical models to support gas traders with data-driven insights and trading recommendations.
  • Conduct comprehensive quantitative analysis to develop profitable trading ideas based on market fundamentals.
  • Maintain and enhance proprietary gas market models to ensure a comprehensive understanding of market dynamics.
  • Visualize and analyze data to support traders in their strategies and make tools so data can be altered to different scenarios.
  • Assist in developing and updating markets outlooks in European gas energy market with link to LNG.

YOUR NEW TEAM
The Quantitative Analysis Department at Energi Danmark is a newly established team dedicated to leveraging advanced quantitative methods and data-driven analysis to enhance trading strategies and decision-making processes. Our department serves as the analytical backbone of the trading division, utilizing mathematical modeling, statistical analysis, and computational techniques to provide actionable insights and optimize trading performance across the energy markets.

YOUR PROFILE
It is crucial that you possess a clear drive for quantitative analysis, with a deep understanding of mathematical, statistical, and econometric techniques.

To succeed in this role, your professional competencies could preferably include:
Technical skills:

  • Advanced proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or MATLAB, and experience with data analysis tools and software.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and refine complex analytical models and to derive actionable insights from large datasets.

Personal skills:

  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to communicate complex quantitative findings and trading strategies effectively.
  • A proactive approach with a keen attention to detail and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • A team-oriented mindset, eager to contribute to a positive and energetic team dynamic.
  • Experience in energy markets or financial trading is an advantage, along with a strong desire to learn and adapt in a fast-paced trading environment.
