About the position
In the position as Procurement Project Manager, you will be asked to apply and develop your current sourcing and procurement skills by taking on key PM responsibility in managing procurement transition projects and sourcing coordination activities for new technologies.
A significant portion of your time will be committed to direct cooperation with the engineers in our R&D project teams. This collaboration with R&D is vital, as it ensures that our sourcing strategies are aligned with the latest technological advancements and innovative designs. By working closely with R&D, you will support facilitate the development of cutting-edge products, ensuring they are manufacturable and meet market demands.
3shape has a collaborative and international working environment, with a constant focus on driving impact for our development of new products and our daily business. You will be part of the Global Procurement team anchored within the Production, Supply Chain & Quality area and join a team of 6 engaged Category Managers. You will be supported by and coordinate tasks for 2 NPI buyers, as well as our Purchase team located in Poland.
Your responsibilities:
- Be the Procurement Project Manager for larger Procurement Transformation Projects and New Product Development
- Act as focal point for cross-functional alignment of activities
- Create and maintain project plans
- Participate in Forecast Build for New Products, incl. plans, resources, feasibility studies
- “Firewall and timekeeper” to ensure deliveries according to project plan.
Your skills:
- Ideally you hold a relevant degree from a business school, university (economics), engineering and have 2+ years of experience from a similar position – alternatively you have previously worked closely with R&D and Technical production
- Ability to handle many different suppliers and internal stakeholders in parallel. Communication skills are therefore very important.
- Experience working with product development – with a good technical and commercial mindset.
- Strong planning skills, maintaining an overview of the project and knowing when to zoom in
- Ability to work effectively and in a time-sensitive situation, when deadlines are tight, and with a positive hands-on approach when needed
