We have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Assessment Engineer to join our cutting-edge QA team in Sofia.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional agile teams to understand software requirements and design effective test strategies.
• Develop, maintain, and execute tests for iOS & Android applications to ensure functionality, usability, reliability, performance, and scalability of features and audio experiences being offered.
• Perform exploratory testing to uncover hidden vulnerabilities and enhance the overall testing strategy.
• Utilize your deep knowledge of testing principles to refine acceptance criteria and challenge the testability of products.
• Create clear test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and reports. Investigate and analyze test results, report defects, and work closely with developers for timely issue resolution.

What you bring
We imagine that you possess minimum 2 years of professional experience in software testing, working closely with engineering teams that deliver consumer-facing mobile applications on iOS and Android platform. We seek someone with a keen interest in writing intelligent test scenarios in collaboration with our software developers and human interface designers to ensure that the in-app experience meets our high-quality standards.

You enjoy working with testing principles, quality characteristics and dedicating yourself to excellent software quality and customer experience through attention to details and product/process improvements. As a person, you have a real desire to pick apart our processes, software, and products to explore and understand them and effectively ensure the right test systems.

Moreover, you have:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven ability to design effective test strategies and create detailed test plans with strong knowledge of mobile UI testing techniques and principles.
• Deep knowledge of test management, scoping, planning, and reporting. Familiarity with shift-left, agile and continuous testing concepts and practices will be a plus. ISTQB or similar testing certification is a plus.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to thoroughly test user interactions with the system.
• Experience in triaging defects and providing timely feedback.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly and concisely communicate issues. Fluency in English is mandatory.
• Experience working in distributed teams and environments.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to gather information from different areas of the organization, whether analyzing new features or troubleshooting test failures.

Technical skills:

• Jira or similar project management tool. Xray or similar test management tool.
• Git/GitHub or similar source control tools and familiarity with mobile application development and build tools will be a plus.
• Knowledge of commonly used audio streaming protocols on mobile devices like Bluetooth Airplay, Chromecast etc. and common network protocols like TCP/IP, MDNS and wireless communication protocols like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, IoT, BLE etc. will be a plus.
• Experience with testing in-app user experience with audio equipment like speaker systems, headphones etc. will be a plus.
