You now have the opportunity to become a consultant within our team, supporting Middleware (MQ, WebLogic, Tomcat) and Workload Automation products (IBM TWS, UAC by Stonebranch, Workload Automation by Redwood, UC4), in both on-prem and cloud-based environments.

This role is based in the Application Support team at Aeven, which also provides services across a wide range of other application types, from basic monitoring-based operations to full-stack platform management and consultancy.

You’ll be part of a team managing daily operational tasks, as well as providing consultancy and advisory services, standardizing and optimizing middleware-related solutions for a diverse range of customers. The team consists of approximately 40 employees across Denmark, the Czech Republic, and the Philippines, ranging from operations-oriented generalists to deep specialists in various middleware and application-related areas.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

• Providing application-level support to Danish clients, handling incidents and change requests, while ensuring the highest level of service.
• Resolving tickets, performing health checks, analysing logs, carrying out system maintenance and patching, conducting root cause analysis, and performing related tasks.
• Participate in projects such as onboarding new customers, platform migrations, and system upgrades.
• Take part in certificate renewal, vulnerability patching, application start/stop activities, job scheduling, and advanced reporting.
• Contribute to the team’s knowledge base by writing and updating knowledge base articles.
• Consult customers on potential roadmaps for their solutions and act as a trusted advisor.
• Automate and scripting tasks and processes through continuous operational improvement.
• Occasionally participating in night on-call duty support (rotation approx. once a month or less).

Qualifications and experience:

• Experience with Workload scheduling platforms: IBM Tivoli Workload Scheduler, UAC by Stonebranch, Workload Automation by Redwood, UC4, or similar.
• Familiarity with platforms such as IBM MQ, WebLogic, Tomcat, WebSphere, and JBoss, with knowledge of various application servers on both Linux and Windows OS.
• Strong competence in incident handling and troubleshooting.
• Scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Bash, Python, or equivalent).
• A business mindset with direct customer interaction experience.
• Strong documentation practices, with a focus on high-quality deliverables.
• Fluency in English, familiarity with ITIL, and experience working within a global delivery setup.
• Knowledge of adjacent areas (containers, cloud, virtualization, networking, databases) or programming languages such as Java, .Net, or HTML is an advantage.
