Tools concepts defines the Tooling concepts to be used in Vestas factories worldwide. The department defines tool solutions and strategies and are a vital part of establishing our manufacturing footprint. Our main task is to define concepts, and make sure that the complete tooling setup is implemented in our factories. Our work involves a broad variety of internal and external stakeholders and suppliers.
The Tool systems are often turn key deliveries with a high degree of tailoring and engineering included. Our projects vary of size and complexity - from 6 months and up to 2 years are normal time frames for our projects.

Responsibilities

  • Organize, budget, plan and complete Tool projects end-to-end, including international coordination of the resources allocated to the workstream
  • Together with suppliers develop Tools and equipment for new products
  • Ensure tools and equipment is delivered and commissioned on time, prioritizing the fulfilment of Safety and Quality standards
  • Participate in the early design phases with the manufacturing tools and equipment perspective
  • Have a good overview of delivery of work packages going on in the project and be prepared to communicate time, budget, and scope status, risks, and mitigation options
  • Build and maintain relations with a large range of stakeholders in the entire segment

Qualifications

  • You have solid experience in the role as Project Manager, leading technically complex projects
  • You hold an Engineering or Business degree combined with relevant project management education
  • Technical understanding or a technical background combined with Equipment and Automation knowledge
  • Solid experience in Project Management e.g., from manufacturing environments
  • Knowledge of new product introductions in manufacturing environments
  • Technical knowledge of design and development of complex industrial equipment
  • Experience with the Microsoft packages, SAP, BI, or equivalent EPR knowledge

Competencies

  • You have a good understanding of manufacturing processes, automation, CE, and safety standards
  • You have a holistic view and technical knowledge, being able to build a bridge between stakeholders, Engineering staff and suppliers
  • Great interpersonal skills and ability to motivate people
  • You take the initiative, are Customer-focused and solution-oriented and score high on accountability
  • The capability of coordinating multi-cultural and diverse teams all around the globe
  • Proven ability to work both with limited supervision and in teams in an environment with tight deadlines
  • Open-minded and good at sharing and gathering information within a team and good communication skills in English, both written and verbal

Additional information
Location: Ringkøbing or Aarhus, DK
Travel activity varies depending on our projects and 30-50 days of travel activity will be expected.
