Low Voltage (LV) COMOS Technical Drafter

Semco Maritime, a multinational company in the offshore wind projects industry, is looking for an Low Voltage (LV) COMOS Technical Drafter who will be responsible for preparing detailed documentation of electrical systems, using computer-aided design programs to convert specifications and design information from engineers into diagrams and plans of an offshore substation. The ideal candidate should have a relevant technical education and experience as electrical technician, with practical experience working on similar solutions and installations. As a part of the Semco Maritime team, you will be involved in technical solutions ranging from project development to supporting design and development execution throughout all phases of the projects.

Main job tasks:
You will be part of the value chain, interfacing with multiple disciplines and working on technical solutions ranging from project development to supporting design and development execution throughout all phases of the projects.

Your key duties will include:

  • In charge of delivering on technical design on time and quality
  • Create accurate, detailed technical plans for electrical systems using computer-aided design programs COMOS to convert specifications and design information from engineers into schematics and blueprints
  • Collect, study and combine rough sketches and initial design ideas from engineers into coherent technical drafts for further study and review by project managers
  • Prepare comprehensive connection diagrams, equipment list and cable list for electrical equipment, power substations according to project objectives, design information and engineering specifications
  • Check that final technical drafts include all relevant information in an easy-to-read format.
  • Review technical drafts as needed according to verbal or written instructions from project managers, engineering team and clients
  • Participate in design process by supporting engineers and designers, contributing ideas and information and creating rough sketches and diagrams of electrical wiring and systems
  • Knowledge of COMOS software is a plus, but not required.

Qualification / Experience:
To excel in this role, you should have a degree or graduation in Electrical technician, or a related field with a focus on electrical work (we are also open to candidates with no experience but willing to learn). You must be able to manage your time and documents, ensuring they stay on time. Additionally, you should have a proactive, analytical, and organized approach to your assignments. Given the complexity of the projects you'll be handling, you must have the ability to navigate through them and understand the various interfaces and stakeholders involved.

The Practical stuff:
You have the freedom to choose whether you want to work from our offices in Gdynia, Poland or Copenhagen and Esbjerg in Denmark. As part of this job, you may be required to travel up to 30 days a year. Additionally, you may have the option to work from home on certain days during the month.
