We are looking for a Designers and Engineers to strengthen our Layout & Piping section in Asker. As a member of our team, you will actively contribute to concepts and studies, or you will be responsible for executing extensive piping design/layout in existing projects.
About the position
In this position, you will work in interdisciplinary areas in EPC projects and/or studies within oil and gas or renewable energy sectors. At Aibel, we focus on good teamwork and effort. Many opportunities will be available for the right person, including the possibility to take on leadership roles within projects at Aibel.
Responsibilities and tasks include
- Experience working in multidisciplinary projects with responsibility for piping design and general layout, as well as knowledge and ability to create plot plans, equipment layouts, and escape plans in E3D Draw according to project plans and requirements
- Participate in design reviews with the project/client
- Proven ability in leadership roles and a genuine willingness to mentor and lead others.
- Developing and optimizing solutions that consider material handling, maintenance access, work environment, and safety.
- Coordinating with other disciplines, including structural, process, stress, and pipe support, to ensure a holistic and efficient design process.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience and independent use of E3D for piping design and general layout
- Minimum 8 years of experience working in multidisciplinary projects with responsibility for piping and general layout
- Experience in oil and gas, offshore wind stations (HVAC/HVDC), and hydrogen production facilities
- Expertise in concept development, as well as knowledge and experience in both Greenfield and Brownfield design
- Good understanding of the rules and regulations governing layout design
- Proficiency in Norwegian and English, both spoken and written
