Chief Enterprise Architect

We are looking for an experienced Enterprise Architects to strengthen our team in Denmark. The focus of the role will be to support the Personal Customer (Retail Banking) domain. The ideal candidate is an architect that does not just understand frameworks, and thinks in principles, but is primarily a great collaborator and communicator.
The Center of Excellence Tech Strategy & Enterprise Architecture in Danske is part of the CTO organization. The CoE TS & EA consists of both Enterprise Architects and Strategy consultants, all of which report directly to the Head of TS & EA. The CoE TS & EA is responsible for the overall technology strategy & architecture of Danske, and ensuring that all Target Architectures, standards and Technology Choices are delivered by the different tribes and domains.

The CoE EA runs the Enterprise Architecture Design Authority together with representatives of all domains to approve all architectural content for Danske. The CoE TS & EA creates and maintains the Technology Strategy for Danske, and aligns this with both the overall strategy of Danske, and the domain specific Strategies.

Our team is spread over Denmark and Lithuania, with the majority of people working in Denmark.
We are a diverse team of very senior Enterprise Architect, Technology Strategists, and some junior architects / engineers that are the central hub for (Enterprise) Architecture and Technology Strategy in Danske. We are looking for an experienced Enterprise Architects to strengthen our team in Denmark. The focus of the role will be to support the Personal Customer (Retail Banking) domain. The ideal candidate is an architect that does not just understand frameworks, and thinks in principles, but is primarily a great collaborator and communicator. An architect that has a comprehensive vision, paired with the ability to share this vision with technical and non-technical audiences. Who can listen as well as talk and write. Somebody who builds solid relationships with their stakeholders, gets the job done, but always thinks ‘enterprise’.

What will you be doing
You will work with stakeholders, both leadership and subject matter experts, to build visions for IT and define the strategic direction in alignment with business strategies, ensure alignment of project portfolio with strategic direction, and define, develop and maintain the IT governance model

You will work with Tribe and Domain Architects to create target architectures with roadmaps and policies to support the sustainability of IT solutions, where you will ensure the Enterprise view is brought in.

Furthermore, you will;

• build a holistic view of processes, information, and technology assets including, e.g., current state of the portfolio.
• ensure that the architecture supports the most efficient and secure IT environment that meets business needs and regulations.
• support strategic programs in Danske to ensure the Target Architecture is well understood and implemented.
• be a sounding board for senior leaders in Danske on Architecture and Technology Strategy content
• Act as a liaison between the different domains and tribes, ensuring that target architectures are clearly aligned, understood and supported across the organization.

About You
We imagine you bring a master’s degree in engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. you have a minimum of 5 years of experience in an Enterprise, Tribe or Domain Architect role, Ideally in Financial Services.

You are highly motivated and capable of thriving in a fast-paced, diverse environment Advanced interpersonal and consensus-building skills, with the ability to communicate complex technology concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Extensive knowledge of the Personal Customer (retail Banking) domain
• A proven history of delivering Target Architectures that have made an impact.
• High leadership and communication skills, with a proven ability to lead and motivate teams across the organization.
• Key analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make decisions based on both quantitative and qualitative data.
• Self-organizing: Manage your time to make the biggest impact, focus on commitments, and recognize the priorities of senior managements. Escalate when needed
• Innovation Management: Identify emerging technology trends that could impact the banking industry and evaluate new technologies for potential adoption to keep the bank at the forefront of innovation in financial services.
• Strategic thinker with a strong consulting and problem-solving toolbox, able to break down complex problems into digestible pieces
