Lead Business Analyst, Executive Decision Support

Ørsted

Join us in this role where you’ll play a key part in driving decisions. You’ll work with stakeholders to facilitate investment opportunities, preparing decision materials for executive decision makers, right up to the Board of Directors. You’ll lead Region Americas within the team, with one other resource dedicated to Americas and a pool of resources in the EDS team. You will own or oversee multiple decision processes at once and be the face of EDS for Americas stakeholders, whilst coordinating closely with teams across Europe.

Welcome to Valuation and Decision Support
You’ll be part of Executive Decision Support where you, together with your colleagues, will work in a global team of ten people spread across US, UK and Denmark. We engage with internal stakeholders, including the Group Executive Team, to drive investment decision processes in accordance with internal governance requirements, and ensure executive decision makers make an informed decision in due time.

As a team, we are a diverse, international group with differing backgrounds and expertise. We value collaboration, an independent mindset and feedback culture, and embed a development focus in our day-to-day work.

You’ll play an important role in:

  • owning decision approval processes towards Investment Committee and Board of Directors to make an informed decision in due time
  • delivering high quality, unbiased Project Recommendations and Board Memos to senior management to enable informed decisions
  • being responsible for Region Americas-specific decision frameworks including authorization rules and setup of Americas Investment Committee and Steerco
  • bringing Region Americas perspectives to the global Ørsted decision framework and vice versa
  • engaging with key stakeholders and departments across the whole company to ensure information flow and effective, timely decision making
  • owning recurring reporting processes on business updates to senior management

To succeed in the role, you:

  • have a degree equivalent qualification and have experience working with the multiple investment decision processes in a large listed company.
  • can independently lead multiple workstreams simultaneously, including project managing other team members.
  • thrive in a fast-moving process and quickly get to grips with the business case and areas of risk.
  • are able to demonstrate strong relationship building skills, and an ability to cooperate with and influence those outside of your own team.
  • can digest quantitative and qualitative information easily and produce coherent, high quality analysis.
  • are a highly proficient user of Microsoft PowerPoint and Teams and speak and write English fluently.

Maybe you’ve read the above and can see you have some transferable skills, even though they don’t quite match all the points. If you think you can bring something to the team, we still encourage you to apply.
