Danske Bank is seeking an experienced Senior Space Planner to oversee strategic and tactical space planning for our Domicile in central Copenhagen, which accommodates over 6,000 employees across 72,000m², as well as additional facilities in Greater Copenhagen where we have more than 8,000 employees in total. This role is crucial in optimizing workspace efficiency and adaptability, reflecting modern hybrid work models and innovative design trends.
Your key responsibilities:
- Strategic and Tactical Space Planning:
- Develop and implement space planning strategies using CAD and IWMS systems
- Maintain and update long and medium-range facility plans to meet evolving organizational needs
- Collaborate with HR to integrate employee data into space planning tools, ensuring alignment with departmental and workstyle requirements
- Collaborate closely with the digital teams to incorporate facility data, such as sensor data, into the space planning tools to ensure the actual usage of space is considered
- Create migration plans and utilize blocking and stacking diagrams for effective space allocation
- Design and Data Management:
- Manage and own validation of the space inventory drawing database; provide regular verification updates
- Compile, analyse, and model space usage data to support strategic decisions
- Prepare space planning reports and proposals for executive management
- Generate detailed design layouts for new and existing office spaces, including detailed seating plans for individual business units
- Collaboration and Support:
- Collaborate closely with the Domicile Workplace Manager and other key stakeholders to integrate both human and business perspectives, ensuring the effective implementation of space plans
- Provide support for various project teams, contributing to remodels and new construction projects
A great match
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture, Interior Design, Facilities Management, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in space planning
- Experience with space utilization and planning in huge office-buildings
- Skilled in interpreting and creating space layouts using workplace design software like Revit and IWMS
- Ability to create and interpret space layouts and floor plans
- Solid data analysis skills in space usage and capacity metrics for optimize space efficiency
- Able to convey complex information and interact with both business users and technical specialist
- Ability to analyze current space usage trends and recommend improvements or solutions
- Strong interpersonal skills to work with various teams (HR, Facilities, IT, etc.) and present data findings and space planning proposals clearly
- Great organizational, communication, and presentation skills; proficient in Microsoft Office 365 and fluent in English
