This position reports to
Program Director - NGT
Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute in drive improvements in PCP R&D automated test practices. You will work with test teams in each of the development streams + STT to guide them to create highly effective and productive automated test practices. Also you will work hands-on with the teams to ensure practices are put into use. Activities will include: - Identify projects that can be most effectively tested automatically. Establish quick wins - Develop standards across teams - Create tool standards and identify new tools that will assist our automated testing efforts - Work with vendors to ensure we are making best use of automated test tools. - Support our CI/CD efforts through the creation of a long-term automated test strategy - Work with Configuration Management and DevOps to ensure development pipelines are constructed to effectively use automated tests - Develop short and long term goals to focus our automated test journey. Create metrics to measure progress. - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Strong leadership abilities and the ability to effectively lead a team.
Qualifications for the role
- - Advanced degree in Software Development, ideally specializing in Test Automation,
- - 5-8 years of software development experience,
- - Strong knowledge and practical experience with test automation.
