Senior Mechanical PtX Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our PtX team. If you have a passion for complex problem-solving and project development in the rapidly growing PtX industry, this is the perfect opportunity for you.

About the Job

Your area of responsibility is as a senior advisor in mechanical equipment and engineering design, and you act as owner’s representative towards selected engineering companies and EPC contractors. You will lead the discipline through initial engineering phases to subsequent EPC execution.

Your accountabilities are likely to vary, but your tasks may include:

• Leading the mechanical engineering on feasibility studies, pre-FEED, and acting as a technical advisor in all technical/commercial negotiations related to the project
• Technical coordination with various stakeholders, e.g., between various engineering disciplines, technology providers, utility suppliers, clients, etc.
• Mechanical design of various process equipment, piping, offtake terminal/loading systems, fundament, structure, supports, etc.
• Senior expertise with material selection, corrosion phenomena, stress calculation, welding procedure, etc.
• : EPC, O&M, FEED study, offtake terminal, utility interfaces (water and power supply)
• Interface utilities with PtX plant (cooling, plant air etc.)
• ASU (Air separation unit) - process understanding and interface with plant consumers
• Haber-Bosch facility layout and engineering and impact on environment assessment
• O&M risk assessment and HSE considerations
• Understanding construction, commissioning, and operation challenges
• As for your primary work location, we are flexible with multiple offices across the globe.

• Relevant educational background in engineering - Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum +7 years’ working experience from relevant industries
• Exceptional and proven project execution skills
• Experienced interface between commercial and technical aspects
• Strong business acumen and commercial understanding/awareness
